I exit from my den, bleary eyed and weak.
Atrophied from a winter, cold and bleak.
Nearly crazed, whithered and pale.
I seek the sunshine, yellow, warm and hale.
I am looking for green, signs of life and light.
Alas the forecast is for a lot more white.
I go work my daily job, from shelter to shelter I flit.
Exposed just a little to the weather, then in to sit.
Back out for a time, to my waiting car again.
And trek back home, through the wind and rain.
Slip and slide the road disappears.
Don't use the brakes, use lower gears!
The days till spring are numbered, down they run.
I can't wait till the land is warmed by the sun.
To see leaves of green and shoots of grass.
The day will come when I can fish for Bass!
Till that time I can only wait.
The bears have it right, next winter lets all hibernate.

That's Right! I forgot, because I've been away so long. The two things that prolong an Ohio winter. A groundhog seeing his shadow on February 2nd, and you complaining about how long, cold and dreary the winter has been. It's nice to know some things remain constant. Hang in there Dude. It can't last forever. Unless....................Global Cooling. I must work up a Power Point presentation immediately. The planet must be saved!
